PURPOSE
This document explains how to set up Bloomberg integration strings in the system.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
In order for the Bloomberg trades to be imported to the system, values such as the Bloomberg accounting centre, counterparty, user id and portfolio (if any) needs to be specified in the CS Lucas system.
PROCEDURE
Accounting Centre
1. Go to: Set Up > Static > Accounting Centre
2. Click on Shortname hyperlink, in this example it is CAPL
3. On the Amend page, click on Preference button
4. Click on Integration ID
5. Enter: Bloomberg:ABC PTE LTD (Note: This is Aloc Account from the Bloomberg integration file)
6. Click Update
7. Approve Accounting Centre
Note: This setting needs to be done for all the accounting centres that would be trading on the Bloomberg platform.
User
1. Go to: Set Up > Global > User and Rights
2. Click on the User ID hyperlink, in this example it is john
3. On the Amend page, click on Preference button
4. Click on Integration String
5. Enter: Bloomberg:25605413 (Note: This is Trader ID from the Bloomberg integration file)
6. Click Update
7. Approve User
Note: This setting needs to be done for all the users that would be trading on the Bloomberg platform.
Facility
1. Go to: Set Up > Risk > Facility
2. Select accounting centre and click Refresh button
3. Click on the Shortname hyperlink, in this example it is CAPL<UOB-SGD-FX
4. On the Amend page, click on Preference button
5. Click on Integration String
6. Enter: Bloomberg: UOBN (Note: This is Bank 1 Dealing Code from the Bloomberg integration file)
7. Click Update
8. Approve Facility
Note: This setting needs to be done for all the facilities that you would be trading with on the Bloomberg platform.
Counterparty
1. Go to: Set Up > Static > Counterparty
2. Click on Shortname hyperlink, in this example it is UOB-SG
3. On the Amend page, click on Preference button
4. Click on Integration ID
5. Enter: Bloomberg: UOBN (Note: This is Comp Deal Code 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 from the Bloomberg integration file)
6. Click Update
7. Approve Counterparty
Note: This setting needs to be done for all the counterparties that would be trading on the Bloomberg platform.
Portfolio
1. Go to: Set Up > Risk > Portfolio
2. Click on Shortname hyperlink, in this example it is HEDGING
3. On the Amend page, click on Preference button
4. Click on Integration String
5. Enter: Bloomberg:PortA (Note: This is Note Text 1 from the Bloomberg integration file)
6. Click Update
7. Approve Portfolio
